Monuments

Due to its artistic, historical, political, technological, or architectural significance, a monument is a form of building that was specifically designed to honor a person or an event, or that has gained significance to a social group as a part of their memory of historic periods or cultural heritage.
Monuments and memorials are intended to make strong statements about the people or events they honor. Each has a specific viewpoint, interpretation, set of values, or collection of judgments embedded inside it.
